This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Towne Centre Drive and remote.

DESCRIPTION

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Analyst will be responsible to implement, build, maintain and optimize robotic automation scripts. These scripts will serve a variety of health system business requirements such as revenue cycle, clinical operations, health IT QA, employee onboarding and training, and other highly repetitive and manual functions. Success will be measured through improved operational efficiencies, more reliable software changes, and displacing organizational staff to higher level functions so they are performing at the top of their skill, ability, and license.

The Analyst will partner closely with operational leaders to design new robotic processes with clear ROI measures. They will also maintain implemented scripts, develop written documentation and change logs, and continue to track success and optimize accordingly. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of health system processes, particularly in revenue cycle and clinical operations. This Analyst will report through Information Services to best service all UC San Diego Health departments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training. Related experience in RPA.

  • Incumbent must obtain certification in primary EMR module(s) within 4 months of initial hire.

  • Incumbent must maintain current certification for primary EMR module(s) as a condition of employment.

  • Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with code review and quality assurance processes for information systems.

  • Experience and proven success in information systems development and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.

  • Proven ability in workflow and data analysis and design techniques, including analytics, needs assessments, specification development, quantitative methods, planning and gap analysis.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Dedicated team player with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with maintaining a major EMR, or certification to build in an EMR.

  • Formally trained and experienced in object-oriented and analytics programming (ie C++, Java, Python, etc).

  • Experience with developing RPA scripts with demonstrated ROI.

  • Ability to plan and organize day-to-day activities along with short and long-term projects; in-depth knowledge of organizational and project planning processes. Ability to produce and maintain high quality planning documents.

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $91,300 - $170,700 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $43.73 - $81.75

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
