Your Role

The Commercial Member Acquisition marketing team is looking for a dynamic marketing professional to join us as the Marketing Campaign Specialist, Consultant - Member Acquisition Strategist. The team are passionate marketers at heart - driven to create the most compelling member experience so that Blue Shield is the health plan carrier of choice during open enrollment.

The Marketing Campaign Specialist, Consultant - Member Acquisition Strategist will report to Sr. Manager, Commercial Member Acquisition Marketing and will work closely with our Marketing Strategy team located in our Oakland corporate headquarters.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Manage client-specific member (B2B2C) communications for Blue Shield's largest employer groups - Serve as the primary marketing point of contact for Blue Shield's largest clients. Be knowledgeable of your clients' product offerings and develop marketing strategies and communications that resonate with its employees and drive membership growth. Collaborate with cross functional teams (digital, creative, analytics, etc.) to deliver best in class communications that focuses on the consumer.
  • Enhance the open enrollment experience with digital tools - Work with digital strategy and other marketing strategists to enhance the open enrollment digital experience through the development, enhancement, and usage of digital tools. This includes maintaining and updating client websites and ensuring that digital content is kept current and aligned with brand standards and market trends.
  • Leverage data to optimize campaigns and recommend metric - Pull campaign metrics to show the success and effectiveness of email campaigns and report campaign progress against goals and relevant marketing metrics to management.
  • Lead end-to-end strategy and development of client-specific member marketing acquisition campaigns - Write the creative brief, messaging, and content, select tactics (email, online, social, print, etc.), and execute deliverables by deadline and on budget.
  • Partner with internal and external audiences - This includes partnering with Account Management, legal, creative teams, etc. to strategize, plan, and ensure execution of a variety of marketing campaigns and programs to meet business and membership growth goals.

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
  • Requires at least 5 years of experience in digital marketing (websites, email, social, etc.)
  • At least 2 years of health insurance experience strongly preferred
  • Requires excellent project management and organizational skills, detail oriented, and can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have stellar communication (both written and verbal) skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as creative and marketing teams, account managers, and external partners
  • Ability to work independently and is looked to by others for subject matter expertise, direction, and resolution of problems
  • Leverages data to optimize campaigns and recommend KPIs (key performance indicators) and metrics to meet goals and objectives and reports. Report campaign progress against goals and relevant marketing metrics to management
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with ability to use advanced features of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with HTML and video editing a plus
  • Embraces change, embodies continuous improvement thinking, and exemplifies agile principles in day-to-day activities

Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is: $ 109120.00 to $ 163680.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
