THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for a senior, highly strategic industry analyst relations professional to join our global IAR team. IT analysts are a critical partner to grow our reputation in the commercial segment, and their insights help our businesses develop strategic narratives and decisions that are well grounded in customer requirements and considerations. This experienced, results-oriented IAR leader will be a strategist and orchestrator who collaborates cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute IAR programs to educate analysts, influence perspectives about AMD, and drive insights back into the business to inform strategic decisions.

THE PERSON:

  • Experience leading B2B IAR and/or strategic communications programs
  • Track record establishing relationships with industry analysts and influencers.
  • Experience managing multifaceted AR programs with Gartner, IDC, and Forrester
  • Responsive, with timeliness and attention to detail
  • Experience counseling business leaders on AR and strategic comms
  • Willingness to thoughtfully counter the traditional grain when needed.
  • Comfortable working across a variety of cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to identify signals through noise and take the best next action.
  • Passion for technology, and a strong understanding of the technology landscape
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced, demanding work environment
  • Ability to prioritize, inc. project and resource planning and management, and competing business needs, with minimal direction.
  • Strong writer, and concise and deliberate communicator

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and oversee end-to-end execution of industry analyst relations strategy, and corresponding programs and initiatives that deliver real-time insights to help AMD create customer-relevant market narratives and anticipate business opportunities and headwinds.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of AMD business priorities and needs to share relevant insights, trends and research, and offer valuable program strategies, inc. inquiry, briefings, and message testing.
  • Provide ongoing counsel on IAR best practices and activities and set stakeholder expectations on what IAR can achieve with given resources and timelines.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for analyst inquiries; foster and strengthen relationships to ensure well-rounded engagement, feedback, and outcomes.
  • Ensure timely dissemination of analyst insights from engagements and research with the right stakeholders at the right time.
  • Manage analyst education programs to drive awareness and understanding of AMD business strategy and product portfolio advancements.
  • Influence accurate AMD inclusion in analyst research and recommendations that provides evidence and validation of our unique value and differentiation.
  • Define metrics and results reporting mechanisms that demonstrate IAR business value and identify areas for improvement and experimentation.
  • Prioritize and manage incoming requests for information, research reviews, customer references, event speakers, and research.
  • Orchestrate and execute onsite analyst programs at AMD and industry events.
  • Identify and develop spokespeople to ensure analyst engagements provide mutually and strategically beneficial engagements.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Established relationships with key IT analyst and influencers
  • Ability to translate complex technical and business issues into simple narratives.
  • Experience using earned and commissioned IAR assets for marketing and sales enablement.
  • Up to 20% travel
