Summary:

The Planner is responsible for supporting and maintaining the details of the production plan and the transactions and master data in the ERP system. The incumbent will develop and coordinate the execution of the raw material requirements plan and manufacturing plan for existing products, new products, product transfers and design changes. This position will collaborate heavily with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality Assurance/Control and Contract Manufacturing Operations (CMO's) to obtain planning and schedule status information.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain Pacira's ERP systems MRP and planning modules.
  • Generate MRP reports and facilitate purchases through Procurement group.
  • Support the maintenance of the Master Planning systems to provide visibility to finished goods, WIP and global raw material levels.
  • Create transact, and manage ERP system inventory data and work orders to ensure the ERP system accuracy.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a valid master plan for material and capacities by accurately updating Master Planning and ERP system data.
  • Update demand and supply data at the item, customer, and master plan levels; identify and report out-of-balance conditions, identify alternatives and recommend actions.
  • Work with manufacturing and CMO partners to gather work in process status and inventory levels and continuously update the Master Planning System and ERP system in real time.
  • Identify and communicate any conflicts with respect to material and capacity availability and order-promising integrity.
  • Maintain weekly and monthly reports to communicate stocking levels and performance to finished goods inventory targets.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Interaction:

This position will interface with all levels of personnel. and will at times interact with suppliers, commercial and clinical partners.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in a related discipline (Bio, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business) preferred
  • Experience in planning and scheduling in an ERP or other computer-based system required.
  • APCIS certification and/or training preferred.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Expandable, JDE preferred, SAP, etc.) with a high level of proficiency in the practical application of MRP logic, part master data, scheduling logic, capacity planning, product structures, routings, and standards maintenance
  • Excel expert - pivot tables, H&V look ups, etc
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • ISO and cGMP knowledge
  • Ability to communicate and influence without authority across all levels of the organization
  • Flexible/adaptable to function in a tactical environment and maintain focus on strategic organization goals
  • Database management and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and facilitate effective informal and formal teams to develop robust solutions to supply / demand constraints
  • Excellent analytical, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Word and other Microsoft applications
  • The ability to take direction, work independently, and perform detailed work in a high-volume environment

The base pay range for this role in California is $30.77 - $42.31 per hour. This role is classified as non-exempt and eligible for over-time.
The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
