Your Role

The Network Management & Provider Partnerships team Our teams are responsible for all Provider Contracting and Provider Relations activities. The Administrative Assistant Advanced will report to the Director, PPO Professional, Specialty and Ancillary Provider Networks. In this role you will In this role you will support multiple Directors that lead independent teams, in all administrative and procedural matters including proactively managing executive calendars, meetings, travel arrangements and expense and provide administrative oversight of third-party relationships.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for providing administrative support to functional area(s), department manager(s) and/or staff
  • Use automated office equipment and business applications as needed such as PowerPoint, Excel, expense management and travel booking software
  • Act as an information source on organization policies and procedures
  • Assist with onboarding new employees
  • Screen calls, take and deliver messages, provide information to callers
  • Handle administrative matters, in the absence of, or on behalf of, the Director
  • Provide administrative oversight of third-party relationships through implementation of designated systems, routine monitoring of performance, and tracking of goods and/or services
  • Proactively manage day-to-day organization of executive's calendar, appointments, meetings, and related schedule
  • Manage travel and expense for leader(s). Responsible for actioning all charges incurred, obtaining receipts and processing expense reports by deadline per month. Control the process of supplies ordering by following guidelines and ensuring purchase policies are adhered to
  • Oversee and manage department meetings and events, including All Hands meetings, Employee Appreciation Week celebrations, holiday events and volunteer activities throughout the calendar year for assigned leader(s) and teams

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED
  • Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Requires strong communications and relationship management experience
  • Requires experience providing administrative support in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • PC proficient: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 28.64 to $ 40.10 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
