Job Summary

The person in this position will part of the MCBio department. The primary role of a bioassay scientist will be to develop and optimize cell-based assays and functional binding assays to test recombinant proteins and neutralize

antibodies.

Essential Functions

  • Develop cell-based assays and functional binding assays
  • Optimize and troubleshoot existing assays Document experiments and results in a regulatory-compliant manner
  • Effectively communicate experimental results and strategies in presentations and written reports
  • Write SOP and protocols in support of new product release
  • Work across functional groups to facilitate new product development
  • Maintain scientific knowledge and critically evaluate scientific literature and industry trends to contribute to new product development
  • Other projects or responsibilities as may be required

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience

  • MS in Biology or a related field with at least 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience OR PhD in Biology or a related field
  • 1-5+ years of experience in cell-based assay development and functional binding assay development
  • 5+ years of experience in tissue/cell culture

Preferred Qualifications - Education and Experience

  • MS in Biology or a related field with at least 10+ years of relevant laboratory experience OR PhD in Biology or a related field with at least 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience
  • Experience in cell-based assay development and functional binding assay development
  • 5+ years of experience in tissue/cell culture

The base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000-$100,000/year. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.
