Job Summary

The Sr. Systems Administrator, Windows, is responsible for managing the operation, support, configuration, and maintenance of the Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure in support of the pSemi enterprise environment. As an individual contributor, you will be expected to manage the Windows Server environment, maintain a common image in support of a standard Compute environment to support our enterprise that spans the globe.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server OS, (Server 2012-2022) AD, Exchange, IIS, MS SQL Server
  • Basic knowledge of Windows 7, 10, 11 and Office 2016, O365
  • Ensure Windows Servers and various applications are operating optimally, and are backed up
  • Perform ongoing monitoring and maintenance of all servers
  • Be the escalation point for Help Desk on complex technical issues related to applications, and servers
  • Manage Windows servers in a VMware environment
  • Perform upgrades and OS and application patching
  • Build, test, and implement server solutions in both physical and virtual environments
  • Create and maintain documentation of environment and application configuration
  • Assist with planning and implementation of growing IT department/operations
  • Comply with and help to enforce standard operating policies and procedures
  • Support the IT needs of the organization's employees and internal groups
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)

  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Extensive use and experience with Windows Server operating systems
  • Understanding of networks and systems as they relate to Windows administration - e.g. DNS, DHCP, AD, AD Connect, and other network protocols.
  • Experience with unattended OS installation and conguration software and host imaging
  • Familiarity with automation software, strong power shell scripting
  • Experience with storage use and conguration (NETAPP preferably)
  • Practical knowledge of networking principles related to System Administration duties.
  • Experience managing Windows Servers in enterprise environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and English prociency
  • Self-motivated, team oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with proficiency in written and spoken English language
  • U.S. person status required

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012-2022 in an enterprise environment, IIS, SQL, some Linux (CentOS, RHEL) a plus
  • Experience administering Microsoft AD, M365 administration, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams
  • Understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSL, TLS
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational skills
  • Some project management skills a plus
  • Veeam Backup software experience a plus

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

USD: 112,487.95 - 146,242.43 per year
