Job Summary

This person would be responsible for developing monoclonal (or polyclonal) antibodies in BioLegend derived from immunized animals by performing antigen preparation, host immunization, bleed analysis, cell fusion, and small-scale antibody purification. Techniques involved in this job include antigen formulation, animal immunization and tissue harvesting, cell culture, cell fusion, and antibody analysis using ELISA, WB, and other techniques.

Essential Functions

• Prepare antigens for rodent immunization
• Animal handling and bleeding
• Cell culture maintenance and cell fusion (for the Hybridoma team)
• Perform various ELISA and antibody-detecting techniques such as WB
• Lab database organization and maintenance
• Coordinate with PLs for U lot antibody screening and characterization
• Other projects or responsibilities as may be required.

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree with coursework in cell biology, immunology, and biochemistry
• 1+ years of mammalian cell culture and cell line maintenance

Preferred Qualifications - Education and Experience

• Basic knowledge of immunology including but not limited to antibody and antigen interaction
• 1-2 years experience of antibody development and experience of ELISA & WB
• Experience with rodent handling and injection
• Experience with antibody purification

The base salary range for this full-time position is $26.44 -$30.41/hr. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.
