The Vision Products Group is seeking a Security Architect to help with the security architecture and design of various components across our platform. This engineer will help architect the software security of the product at every level working with various teams including hardware, apps, services, etc. Being successful in this area will result in a delightful experience for all users of our products. - BS and 15+ years of relevant industry experience
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication, collaboration & interpersonal skills
- Passion for driving the product towards highest level of security and privacy
- Ability to navigate through complex design proposals and their security aspects
- Ability to lead highly cross functional discussions and driving to consensus
- Experience with threat modeling, side and covert channel attacks and their mitigations
- Understanding of cryptography primitives and their applications (symmetric vs. asymmetric, encryption vs. signing, authentication protocols etc)

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $189,800.00 and $284,900.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
