Job Details:

Job Summary: Assists in the research, development and implementation of marketing strategy and supporting content and deliverables. Position is designed to expose the intern to a broad range of marketing tactics through the assignment and completion of various marketing projects, to include: content design and deployment, digital marketing, product launches, event support, customer research, and market analysis. This position typically works under close supervision and direction.

Job Description: Are you creative, hardworking and looking to gain hands-on experience working on various projects? We appreciate these qualities at Cubic and seek a marketing intern who can contribute fresh ideas, create content, and research industry trends. Interns work collaboratively in teams to conduct research that improves our brand, communications and strategy. Reporting directly to the Product Marketing Manager (?), the ideal candidate has a strong understanding of brand marketing, social media, and digital marketing strategies, as well as an interest in working on high-impact projects.

Objectives:

  • Play a role throughout the marketing cycle in positioning, messaging and storytelling

  • Contribute to marketing campaigns that further the company's strategic goals

  • Monitor industry trends, digital marketing KPI levels

  • Provide support for virtual and/or in-person events

  • Contribute fresh ideas that can enhance the brand's standing

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing email marketing campaigns for upcoming events and product updates/announcements

  • Assist in conducting competitor website research and developing content topics and keyword lists for respective product lines

  • Assist in maintaining HubSpot contact database by ensuring contacts and company information is accurate, complete, and deduplicated.

  • Support content development requirements as needed for ongoing Inbound Marketing strategy

  • Assist with designing graphics, diagrams and illustrations in support of marketing collateral development for stakeholder approval

  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns and generate reports

  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks

  • Prepare promotional presentations

Minimum Job Requirements:

Enrollment of four-year college degree in business, marketing, communications, media and design studies or related discipline. Ability to manage time and prioritize projects with little oversight from management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Familiarity with Adobe Creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or proficiency with other design tools such as Canva. Proven ability to work collaboratively and independently as required. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and make presentations to Cubic senior management.

Cubic Pay Range:

$18 - $25/hr. + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
