Job Description

POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research-Anderson Lab, to work on developing novel RNA-based cancer immunotherapy in the laboratory of Professor Daniel G. Anderson.  The lab is interested in innovative, interactive, and broadly trained individuals with strong backgrounds in immunology, molecular and cell biology, and oncology.  Responsibilities include developing a novel RNA-based cancer immunotherapy; collecting, preparing, and analyzing research data; generating clear and timely records of experimental work; tabulating and displaying data for presentation at research conferences and for manuscript preparation; using graphics and statistical software to analyze and present data; communicating ideas and results with lab members; supervising other personnel in the laboratory to coordinate research efforts and participating in the training of graduate students and technicians as needed; searching pertinent scientific literature; assisting with ordering and procurement of supplies and equipment and with general maintenance of laboratory; and performing other duties as requested.

Job Requirements:
REQUIRED: Ph.D. in a biology-related field; experience working in immunology or immune-oncology, cell culture, and animal works; excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills; and ability to learn quickly, function both independently and as part of a team, and work with a variety of people from all backgrounds and at all levels of training. PREFERRED:  experience with a variety of biochemistry and molecular biology techniques and with animal models of cancer or genetic diseases and DNA/RNA or CRISPR-based technologies.  Job #23681
