Front Desk Coordinator - Per Diem - 127610

Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Clinic Manager, the Front Desk Coordinator performs and coordinates general front office duties, to include, but not limited to, reception, co-pay collection appointment scheduling and referral and authorization. Serves as a resource for patients, physicians, staff and ambulatory care service managers. Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Three (3) years of related experience.

  • A minimum of one (1) year of front desk/receptionist and scheduling experience in a health care setting.

  • Proven experience with insurance and authorization verification.

  • Prior cash handling experience.

  • Possess demonstrated knowledge of third party payors including federal, state, and private health plans.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Ability to work in an interactive environment and possess excellent customer service skills both in person and over phone.

  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences.

  • Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • EPIC.
  • Specialty clinic experience.
  • Bilingual: Spanish/English.
  • Experience with referrals.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • May be required to float to other sites to provide coverage as needed.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $66,879 - $66,879 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $32.03 - $32.03

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
