Your Role

The Agile Coach team is responsible for accelerating the Agile adoption and maturity across the IT Organization. The Sr. Manager, Agile Coaches will report to the Director of IT Portfolio Service Management. In this role you will drive our Agile agenda on coaching to excellence in Agile adoption and maturity. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, managing the multi-year Agile journey for the IT organization. You will grow and develop the talent within the team and be a key member of the Enterprise Agile Center of Excellence to drive consistency, adoption, and engagement for the company. Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Facilitate and influence senior leadership to drive culture change across BSC; coach senior leadership on removing organizational impediments through a leadership backlog
  • Partner with business drivers to execute on Agile coaching deliverables including capacity, scope, achieving Agile maturity goals, measuring velocity, knowledge of Agile methodologies, roles, ceremonies, and standards in support of the business strategies
  • Provide oversight and direction of business portfolios and releases within the sub portfolio (schedule, issues/risks, budget, resources, and PPM/PWA adherence)
  • Oversee and manage Agile coaches in support of the delivery of the portfolio and product teams
  • Be accountable for ensuring overall coaching program achieves leadership expectations in achieving overall desired outcomes, results, and deliverables
  • Be highly entrepreneurial and influence leaders, product, and technology teams on Agile or Project Delivery principles, and how to build, grow, and maintain a thriving and sustainable Agile or organization
  • Manage the professional development and growth of Agile Coaches, Project Coaches, and Scrum Masters
  • Promote and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, trust and transparency across teams
  • Define and drive training strategy in addition to building and optimizing communities of practice
  • Be knowledgeable in the entire scope of company products, functions, marketing and/or service policies and procedures

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 10 years of prior relevant experience, including 6 years of management experience
  • Must be technically proficient having broad background in Jira and Planview
  • Proficient in Servant Leadership principles and practices
  • SAFE, Scrum Master certification preferred
  • Knowledge in developing and implementing company-wide transformational process improvement programs
  • Strong verbal communication, presentation, collaboration, and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to gain trust, secure buy-in and influence change at all levels
  • Ability to interact with all levels including senior management and influence decision-making; Ability to operate at a strategic business level and fully incorporate business strategies within all projects
  • Knowledge of Blue Shield of CA or similar health care organization structure is a plus

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 136400.00 to $ 204600.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
