Job summary
The Temporary Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst works under general supervision to generate internal data reports, provide data analysis, and make recommendations to assist managers in decision-making. The Temporary QA Analyst implements new processes for data and sample management and provides technical support to end-users and management.

The position creates, reviews, assists and verifies the release of documentation in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Essential job functions and duties

  • Design and conduct data analysis on internal group data, increasing visibility and aiding decision making for managers.
  • Implement new processes, standardizations, and structures for data and sample management.
  • Maintain a consistent end-user focus while creating original applications for lab operators.
  • Provide and maintain technical support for lab operators and management.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record keeping is completed as required.
  • Author or assist in the writing of detailed reports and analysis of quality data.
  • Create, revise, and review reports, including compliance documentation initiation, revisions, and deletions.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of information contained in all documents, document files, databases, and documentation systems.
  • Review records and associated data in support of operations activities.
  • Ensure required documents are provided as requested.
  • Serve as study and report data archivist.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a Life Sciences discipline strongly preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and regulations. Ability to write reports and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Knowledge of Documentation Control principles.
  • Document Control expertise in issuing and reconciling paper-based documentation is required.
  • Strong organizational, project management and communication skills and the ability to perform varied tasks in a disciplined, consistent manner.
  • Must be able to work under minimum supervision, independently, within prescribed guidelines, or as a team member and interdepartmentally.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed directions in a laboratory environment and adhere to industry regulations and guidance.
  • Detail oriented and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, driven to complete required responsibilities.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications.

The hourly range for this role is $24.00 to $29.96. Individual pay decisions ultimately depend on various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, education, geography, internal equity and alignment with external market data.
