Brief Description:

Jazz Pharmaceutical's IS department is actively seeking a hands-on Manager of Enterprise Data Management. This role involves overseeing and supporting Enterprise Data Platforms and operations. Collaborating with different departments and business units, the Manager will play a crucial role in managing data and analytical solutions to generate valuable business insights. Key responsibilities include identifying automation opportunities for data/ETL operational procedures, meticulously documenting data/ETL processes, and workflows, coordinating with offshore teams, and providing support to US and EU business partners. The role also encompasses managing automated processes for data exchange, transforming and consolidating data for meaningful schemas, creating metrics using business rules, testing result validity, and delivering reporting and dashboard solutions. Effective communication and interfacing with all organizational levels are essential for success in this position.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Partner with various business functions to manage and support data solutions while ensuring alignment to Jazz's business strategy and overall IS data strategies.
  • Hands-on involvement in managing and monitoring of automated ETL processes that extract data received from various internal and external sources.
  • Provides daily operations support for issues and enhancements requests, managing support queues and taking ownership to deliver solutions as needed.
  • Hands-on experience with Enterprise Data Platforms administration, clustering and setting up High-Availability systems is desired.
  • Implement and maintain data quality assurance processes to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and reliability of data.
  • Conduct regular audits of Enterprise data platforms to validate data access integrity and compliant with established standards.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of data operations.
  • Oversee relationships with external data vendors, ensuring data procurement and services meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of master data.
  • Oversee the integration of master data from various sources, ensuring seamless data flow across different business units to maintain data standardization processes to ensure consistency in the representation of master data.
  • Oversee master data platforms and technologies, ensuring their optimal performance and scalability.
  • Ensure master data practices comply with relevant regulations, such as HIPAA and FDA requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • At least 5 years of business experience in the business intelligence IT industry; work in/for pharmaceutical, biotech, bioinformatics, or healthcare related laboratory, research and diagnostic industries, a plus.
  • Must have at least 4 years of hands-on experience with managing and supporting Enterprise Data Platforms.
  • Must have Master Data Management experience. Preferably using Informatica Cloud in Customer and Product domains.
  • Must have strong business and data analysis skills and be able to understand complex healthcare business processes to manage, support and sustain key business processes.
  • Must have hands on experience with using SQL language, design and create diverse types of data schemas for various operational needs (discovery, ad-hoc analyses, operational reporting, data warehouse/data marts).
  • Experience with Amazon Redshift is necessary. Knowledge of MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL knowledge is desired.
  • Experience with ETL using Informatica Cloud or other enterprise ETL platforms is required. Job will require learning and using such tools on a day-to-day basis.
  • Knowledge with data visualization tools is preferred (Tableau and/or Power BI) and ability to independently create prototype views using data extracts.
  • Knowledge of Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog will be a plus.
  • Must possess excellent communication (oral and written) and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and able to multi-task.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, demanding, and dynamic work environment.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $117,600-$154,350. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
