The SWE (Software Engineering) Data Analytics team at Apple collects, processes, and analyzes diagnostics and telemetry data from Apple devices across the world. We build systems to gather, understand, catalog and track this data and its use through its lifecycles. The Data Governance team within Data Analytics develops and owns the systems responsible for making sure our internal and external commitments to user privacy, security, and compliance are met. In this role you'll lead the team which develops software, collaborates with our data engineering, Privacy and Legal teams, in addition to working with the teams creating and managing the datasets themselves.

Does building software from the ground up excite you? Are you able to help us answer the who, what, when, where and why of data collection and storage? We're looking for you! You'll lead a multi-discipline team of software engineers building the data governance solution for Apple Software Engineering. You'll drive the creation of UI, API and reporting components which allow all stakeholders to successfully update, interrogate and audit data governance metadata. This role is critical to all of SWE and directly impacts its ability to ensure Apple is meeting its goals around Privacy, Compliance and Security!

Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $174,000 and $301,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
