As Director, Pharmacy Services, you will provide central oversight and support of pharmacy compliance across Scripps Health, including both inpatient and outpatient areas.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all aspects of regulatory compliance, medication safety, controlled substance surveillance and diversion prevention
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures
- Conducting audits and investigations
- Supervision of staff and provide training and education to staff and other healthcare professionals
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and other healthcare organizations
This is a Full Time, Salaried Director level position located at our Corporate offices in La Jolla.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Graduate degree
- 8 years experience, 3 of which in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and medication safety standards
- Experience with controlled substance diversion surveillance and prevention programs
Required Certification/Registration:
- Current California Registered Pharmacist
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Experience in a multi-hospital health system setting
- 2 years experience as a Director of Pharmacy in a hospital setting
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Experience with medication safety software programs
