Marketing Operations Specialist, Senior - Communications Governance

Your Role

The Communication Governance team supports the development and implementation of strategic communication programs to improve overall member experience, streamline operational processes, and govern member-facing communications to align with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Marketing Operations Specialist, Senior will report to the Director of Communication Governance. In this role, you will facilitate, document, and report operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects to support the development and implementation of strategic communication programs. Additionally, this role will support a strong governance policy and dynamic cross-functional process integration to achieve communication transformation objectives and improved operations.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Work directly with and support the Business Unit leader by providing program management, support of strategic planning and execution, and coordination amongst the team to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Be responsible for planning and implementation of medium complex projects spanning across business areas where analysis requires evaluation of variable factors
  • Assist in building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships. Influence others to gain alignment on new concepts, practices, and approaches. Manage development of presentations and speaking points for presentations, meetings, and project updates. Consult and make recommendations to senior management on significant issues and influences decision-making
  • Assist in facilitating the strategy, design, development, and alignment of the organizational vision. Serve as a subject matter expert in communication governance policies and procedures
  • Influence and develop effective communication and action plans and implement to successful conclusion. Take a disciplined approach to review and approve and facilitate member facing communications across channels
  • Support the creation and documentation of policies and procedures to integrate marketing workflows, drive broad awareness of programs, and provide training to effectively coach colleague adoption and ensure adherence to review and approval steps
  • Align member communications to business objectives and establish reporting to monitor effectiveness of hard and soft KPIs. Maintain enterprise communication calendar for tracking all outbound member interactions. Track all final artifacts, data files, and measurement of KPIs in a central location

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, operations and/or vendor integrations required
  • Project management experience required
  • Strong analytical skills and use of data to drive decisions and able to use advanced features of Excel required
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to develop advanced presentation materials using PowerPoint required
  • Experience in Six Sigma, Agile or similar methodology discipline strongly preferred

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 85360.00 to $ 128040.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
