A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the Navy to achieve their mission, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That's why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network the Department of Defense needs.

As a network engineer on our team, you'll help the Navy build a reliable network to support Naval operations. You'll work with Subject Matter Experts, project managers, and commanding officers to learn the strategic goals and operational needs that shape the network requirements. You'll then plan the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of the network components. From resolving interoperability issues across platforms, to supporting the acquisition of hardware, you'll put your hardware and software talents to good use. You Have:

• 7+ years of experience in an engineering role, including performing architecture and design of heterogenous IT environments
• 3+ years of experience with Cisco Networking products
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting networking issues in an enterprise-scale environment
• 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership role
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain IAT Level II Certification before start date

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with various networking technologies and vendors
• Experience with virtualization technologies
• Experience with cloud-based technology
• Experience with Python and PowerShell scripting
• Experience with network engineering
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree in CS or Engineering
• CASP or CISSP Certification
