The Role
As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Senior SAP ERP Solution Architect will provide thought leadership and technical expertise in designing ERP system solutions in a highly integrated systems landscape. Help define and lead execution of the SAP S/4HANA Transformation. They will partner with various ERP teams and other SAP stakeholders, develop reference architecture, solutions and governance model that address the continually evolving global business needs. They will work closely with Enterprise Architecture, other IT and external consulting teams to define and govern ERP Solution policies and procedures.
This position can be located in San Diego, Ca - Raritan, NJ and/or Rochester, NY. Working in a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office).
The Responsibilities
- Develop technical solution strategies and plans for ERP - Primarily SAP S/4
- Help design SAP S/4 interfaces with other SAP/Non-SAP ERP's including ancillary systems
- Needs to be hands-on experience in SAP technical and functional configuration (multiple modules)
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, participate in engineering activities to ensure consistently high levels of quality and productivity, and provide timely and accurate estimates for deliverables
- Make sure SAP out of the box (global template) is adhered and need to validate/address any deviations
- Translate requirements into implementation plans
- Will be part of triaging team for any issues encountered on ERP or ancillary system
- Work closely with the implementation partner and influence the correct decisions on design
- SAP solutions designing, building, testing, and deploying SAP technical solutions emphasizing WRICEFs design and development
- Advising our clients on design and implementation of best-practice SAP S/4HANA solutions and improving their business processes.
- Be hands-on and have good technical knowledge of ABAP and functional configuration
- Chair ERP Solutions Review and Approval board
- Participate in the Change Management Process
- Work cross-functionally with multiple teams including implementation partners and support
- Think out of the box and come up with creative solutions
- Aptitude for quickly learning new technologies, and a desire to research and understand new areas of SAP
- Focus on innovation and automation of ERP processes
- Work closely with Data and Analytics team in designing optimized interfaces to Business Warehouse
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
The Individual
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Minimum one end to end SAP S/4HANA green field implementation experience and overall, 10 years of SAP experience
- Excellent hands-on SAP ECC skills (technical & functional)
- Experience in working in a global environment
- Understands some the localization requirements
- Ability to go deep and wide on relevant technologies key to maximize the return on SAP capabilities
- Knowledge of SAP cloud-based integration, BTP and Fiori
- Thorough understanding of software development, governance and project management in a geographically spread-out team environment
- Experience in SAP Central Finance, System Landscape Transformation (SLT Model), SAP Integration capabilities e.g. PI/PO AIF
- SAP S/4 Architecture, Deployment Options

- Worked cross functionally with all business units
External Partners:
- Work with ERP solution implementation partners and SAP support personnel
The Work Environment
No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Minimal travel required - less than 15% to other office locations.
Salary Transparency
The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $95,500.00 - 172,000.00 and is bonus eligible or eligible for incentive compensation.
