What you'll do:

The Consumer Digital Data Scientist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a modelling framework, using advanced analytics, dashboards and predictive models allowing the business to optimize:
oDeposit Pricing: Optimize rates to attract and retain customers while ensuring profitability.
oCustomer Retention: Predict likelihood of churn for proactive treatments.
oFlow Forecasting: Predict the inflows and outflows of deposits over a specific time frame.
oFraud Risk: Identify potential fraud trends.
oMarketing Performance: Marketing investment optimization by channel and customer journey optimization for acquisition, up-sell, and retention

What we are looking for:

  • Data analysis with large complex data sets and data warehouses

  • Statistical model development, testing, methodology and documentation

  • Statistical model implementation and monitoring

  • Interprets, vets, and understands any type of model methodology (logistic regression, gradient boosting tree, or lookalikes) to determine actionable recommendations.

  • Merge, concatenate and improve data quality and verify the consistency and accuracy of data sets before developing models.

  • Develop and maintain Business Intelligence reports and dashboards.

  • Build ad-hoc analyses and synthetize the data into actionable business recommendations

  • Monitor and report on all AB testing strategies to ensure channel and collateral optimization

Requirements

  • 4+ years of work in advanced data modelling and data visualization role, with a preference for work in a financial setting, validating, and developing models in the consumer financial services industry.

  • Minimum Master's degree in quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or Economics)

  • Expertise in one of the following: SAS, Stata, SPSS, Python and SQL

  • Excellent quantitative modelling, analytical, research and programming skills

  • Experience with Tableau or other Data Visualization tools

  • Experience with marketing campaign analytics across digital channels a plus

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings from analysis.

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $123,000.00 - $153,411.00 for San Diego, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
