We are looking for a Logistics Support Specialist with a Secret clearance or higher to join our Naval Surface Warfare Center Team!

As a Logistics Support Specialist, you will:
- Strategically plan and manage logistics and support Implementation and Operations Management best practices on behalf of our customer.

A week in the life of a Logistics Support Specialist:
- Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle logistics.
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Provide a significant portion of acquisition or operational integrated logistics support (ILS) to projects.
- Identify all activities that will be involved in providing needed logistical support.
- Monitor progress toward meeting the logistics plan and to identify the cause and impact of delays or other problems.
- Adjust plans and schedules for all related actions as required by delays or changes to logistics requirements.
- Evaluate plans for and provision of logistical support for feasibility, efficiency, and economy, and develop alternatives when required.
- Provide configuration management and status accounting.
- Support logistical requirements once deployed; adjust support as required.
- Work with the Naval Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS)
- Provide logistics supply support in the areas of; range maintenance, ordnance support on ammunition orders, maintenance and production, inventory accountability, tracking and disposal.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in logistical acquisition of highly technical systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational with good communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience as listed in our functional responsibilities
- BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Supply Chain Management, Processing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related scientific or technical discipline
