Associate Director Field Operations and Analytics

Job Description

The Associate Director, Field Operations & Analytics is responsible for leading analysis and support for Rare Disease field teams, analyzing and assessing the commercial field performance of inline rare disease brands, reporting on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis, providing actionable insights and running ad-hoc analyses to drive key business decisions. As well as overall field analytic support. Serves as an analytics partner to the Marketing, Sales and Patient Services organizations. Supports sales and field operations by proactively identifying, analyzing, and assessing key issues and business opportunities in sales territories, regions, and areas. Meets with Sales management regularly to share key findings and discuss potential implications and behavior adjustments. Reports to Senior Director Commercial Insights, Analytics, & Operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and assess commercial field performance of the rare disease inline brands, provide insights and proactively address senior leadership inquiries to drive key business decisions
  • Point of contact for rare disease field teams and manage requests focused around targeting, IC, territory and account analysis
  • Manage the development, maintenance and validation of ongoing dashboards and reports that summarize several field business performance metrics
  • Serve as an analytical partner to Acadia's Sales, Marketing and Patient Services departments
  • Develop and present concise and compelling presentations capturing the insights to rare disease leadership
  • Develop, maintain and update various reports and dashboards
  • Develop and maintain performance/execution dashboards
  • Collaborate and partner with internal customers to identify business needs and data availability
  • Use broad range of data assets to measure performance
  • Develop Sales Force Effectiveness measures, field KPIs, promotional effectiveness efforts and present findings and discuss potential implications
  • Lead rare disease field targeting and call plan process, collaborate with lead for alignments
  • Collaborate with rare disease marketing team on key initiatives and projects, providing analytical support
  • Collaborate with commercial analytics to build, streamline and automate reports
  • Prepare field execution and performance analysis for Commercial and Executive Leadership, in addition board presentations
  • Manages system and process for marketing mix optimization incorporating the latest in industry trends in key areas of focus to provide structured analysis of KPIs
  • Ensure timely distribution of standardized reports
  • Implement process to ensure accuracy of reports
  • Interact and coordinate with various functional departments as required
  • Manage vendor partners to support various recurring reports and ad-hoc analyses
  • Serve as project manager of assigned commercial initiatives
  • Provide sales trend analysis on performance and execution data
  • Prepare and analyze weekly field execution dashboard
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Education/Experience/Skills:

Position requires a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or pharmaceutical/biopharma analytics/operations experience; engineering, math, science or economics or related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience, with knowledge of pharmaceutical/ healthcare industry with Commercial experience with in-market products. Familiarity with pharmaceutical sales data strongly preferred. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

  • Experience with analysis of data aggregated from a patient Hub and other distribution models
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel
  • Ability to utilize and leverage one or more business intelligence toolsets (IQ2020, Power BI, Sisense etc.)
  • Advance computer skills, including MS Office business applications and tools, including PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently with minimal work direction
  • Ability to effectively communicate in verbal, written, and presentation form

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, see, talk or hear in a standard office environment and independently from remote locations. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for discretionary bonus and equity awards based on factors such as individual and organizational performance. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location.

Salary Range
$146,000-$182,800 USD
