Job Description
The Marketing & Communication Manager will work in our Global Client & Contract Management Team within our BioPharma Business Unit. This position will define and implement the marketing strategy for the business unit to support the growth and expansion of company products and services by creating cutting-edge marketing campaigns including market communications such as: brochures, flyers, presentations, and white papers, as well as manage conferences, trade shows and other events. This position with write the content for social media sites and coordinate with the regional and global Corporate Communications and Employee Branding teams for delivery on the appropriate social media sites. The position will interact closely with the Business Development team, other SMEs, the corporate communications department, employer branding and external agencies to support creating brand awareness and drive future business growth.
Essential Functions:
* Strategically develops and executes marketing, communications activities/events and brand image, which may include advertising programs, digital marketing, content creation/assessment and event management.
* Manage complex marketing and communications projects throughout project life cycle from concept through launch. Responsible for measuring and reporting outcomes.
* Working cross-functionally with internal and external creative agencies, digital marketing, and product marketing on content generation, such as brochures, websites, press releases, scientific/technical papers and social media posts that effective convey product information and overall value proposition.
* Manage the marketing and communication budget, in alignment with global and regional offices, tracking expenses and optimizing spending for maximum return on investment.
* Organizing and participating in industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to promote Wacker BioPharma Business Unit.
* Lead vendor agency selection/evaluation, driving effective balance in use of external agency and in-house resources.
Job Responsibilities
- BS in business administration, marketing, communication, or similar related field or BS in life-sciences with additional qualification in marketing / communications.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience. Experience in the field of biotechnological or pharmaceutical active ingredient production is preferred.
- Excellent verbal / written communication and presentation skills
- Strong customer focus and solution-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix organization and work with people at all levels within the company.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, pressured environment
- Has a clear hands-on and very proactive attitude
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly and works independently to complete tasks and accomplish goals
- Ability to build strong relationships across a global matrix organization and external agencies
- Computer skills in MS Office, graphic design, Social-Media, etc.
The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in San Diego is $95,000.00 - 130,000.00 The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc . Wacker is a multi state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
