Position Overview

As an intern on our Aviation Planning team, you will be an integral part of projects and support key members of our team. Our internship program provides all interns an opportunity to meet with leadership and work with mentors on both professional and technical development. We also have a lot of fun - between company events, intern socials, and team bonding, our interns become a part of our ONE C&S mentality.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform, under close supervision, routine aspects of aviation-specific planning and environmental studies, requiring knowledge and application of principles learned in course of study.
  • May use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform tasks.
  • Collect and prepare data for evaluation.
  • Assist in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations.
  • Provide support to staff members as needed.
  • Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards.
  • Communicate incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor or the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Planning, Environmental Science, Aviation Management, or another related field. Completion of junior year preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/GIS preferred.
  • Solid analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest or coursework in sustainability and resiliency is helpful.
  • Resourceful and self-motivated with organizational skills and a focus on details.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment and effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.

    Estimated Compensation Range: $18.50-$21.50/hour*

    *Actual compensation may vary based on prior internship experience, current academic year, degree program, certifications, and geographical location.
