The Role

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Lead HRIS to support our Global Human Resources team. The HRIS Lead plays a critical role in driving the success of our Company's utilization of Workday.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and enhancing an intricate configuration of multiple Workday modules over many countries, globally. Payroll, Compensation, Benefits and Time Tracking skills especially welcome! if you enjoy analyzing existing practices, collaborating with others to streamline and automate processes, and bringing creative solutions to life, this is the job for you! We have a number of additional modules available to help you support your modules and grow your skills, including Workday Help, Extend and Prism.

This position is remote eligible! If you happen to live close to one of our sites, you will have the opportunity to visit our offices (San Diego, Ca, Raritan, NJ, or Rochester, NY).

The Responsibilities

  • HRIS Owner of identified Workday modules. Meets with People & Culture function leaders and teams utilizing module functionality regularly to continuously automate and improve capabilities.
  • Manage HRIS owned projects end to end (Design/Plan/Testing/Delivery) to ensure successful user experiences. Participate as active team member for larger Company projects which may or may not be People & Culture team led.
  • Be a subject matter expert for Workday, monitoring new and future functionality.
  • Challenge the status quo, collaborating to encourage continuous improvement.
  • Educate employees of system/data standards and best practices.
  • Identify and solve problems - working with internal teams and vendor as appropriate.
  • Work within the HRIS team to create, promote, and lead the execution of quality standards, peer review, and documentation.
  • Deliver reports for modules using the appropriate tool for the business need and audience (i.e. Advanced Report, Matrix, Prism, Discovery Board, etc.)
  • Offer insights and recommendations for improvement opportunities.
  • Help lead change management for major functionality updates.
  • Advise and inform requestors about prioritization of requests through established clear communication.
  • Be innovative.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years minimum Workday Administration experience.
  • 5+ years of HRIS or comparable experience in roles of increasing responsibility required.
  • Experience configuring 2 or more Workday modules.
  • Experience coordinating and/or managing HR technology projects.
  • Experience with Workday delivered reporting tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft tools and applications.
  • 10% travel, domestically.

Preferred:

  • Experience as lead/owner of system functionality.
  • Experience administering Workday security.
  • Experience working with a shared service center environment.

The Key Working Relationships

Internal Partners:

  • People & Culture, IT, Finance and Legal to understand business needs and functions to respond to changing business needs.
  • P&C Functional Leaders regularly to identify improvements and reporting/metrics that will help support the business and drive decision making.
  • HR liaison with IS for HRIS or HR technology related matters.
  • Works across all levels of the organization.

External Partners:

  • Workday partners.
  • Outside Vendors.

The Work Environment

No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Minimal travel required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $97,700 to $170,000 and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
