Major Position Responsibilities

As a Finance Director, you will direct, coordinate and administer the organization's financial planning and accounting practices while working with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. This includes making final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensuring GD-OTS operations' effective achievement of financial reporting standards for all business components by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.

    Maintains an accounting system that provides uniformly high financial reporting standards for all business components by examining and evaluating the organization's financial and information systems, management procedures and managerial and internal controls to ensure records and controls are accurate.
  • Recommends and directs the development of sound systems of internal control throughout the Company in order to safeguard assets, check accuracy and reliability of the accounting data and ensure adherence to prescribed management policies and compliance with government regulations.
  • End-to-end financial forecast; including financial statements as well as program financials.
  • Prepare and submit month end, quarterly and yearend closing financial reports.
  • Responsible for supervising, managing and developing assigned subordinates.
  • Support bid and proposal activities: maintain updated bid rates; review/approve proposals and prepare/review the financial summaries for bid review packages and ensure accurate sales and gross margin recognition.
  • Reviews operating budgets periodically to analyze trends affecting budget needs.
  • Conduct long range planning for assigned department(s); participate in location strategic and operational planning.
  • Leads merger and acquisition activities for San Diego operations.
  • Assists Business Development and the General Manager in expanding San Diego's international portfolio.
  • Supervises San Diego's finance team.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Relevant Field
  • 10 - 15 years related work experience and/or training; with a minimum of five years supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with International External or Internal customers is preferred
  • Experience with Merger and Acquisition activities is preferred
  • Strong computer skills, administrative data control and team interface.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and teamwork.
  • Must possess expert knowledge of CAS, GAAP, FAR, FASB, accounting, budget, treasury and tax laws as applicable to a respective discipline within the financial organization.
Pay Range (USD)
Min 165,180.53 Mid 206,475.66 Max 247,770.79
Additional Compensation - ICP
Hired applicant will be eligible to participate in the Company's Incentive Compensation Program.
