Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Trackwork Discipline Manager and client management on transportation-related projects.

  • Manage rail task orders with clients such as Metro, Caltrans, California High Speed Rail Authority, City of Los Angeles, LAWA, and other local agencies. Lead projects to successful completion in terms of client satisfaction, technical accuracy, profitability, etc.

  • Develop production work plans, schedules and budgets.

  • Work with other project managers and unit manager to establish contract budgets and scopes of work.

  • Act as a Trackwork/Rail Discipline Leader on major rail and transit projects.

  • Lead rail/trackwork analysis and design.

  • Oversee performance of complex rail design.

  • Oversee, develop and mentor rail/trackwork engineers.

  • Ensure proper codes and standards are being used on projects.

  • Supervise, coordinate and review the work of other engineers and designers.

  • Provide the design staff with guidance and assistance on projects.

  • Responsible for the successful completion of projects under his/her direction.

  • Perform a significant role in marketing of roadway and highway design services.

Qualifications:

  • Requires BSCE degree with emphasis in roadway design.

  • 20+ years of rail/trackwork design experience.

  • Experience in project management required.

  • Successful experience managing transportation design projects and design teams.

  • Requires advanced knowledge of transportation design and analysis software.

  • Ability to prepare comprehensive engineering reports. Experience with Caltrans procedures required.


Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$161,300 - $290,300 annually for this position and local market.
