The Role

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Lab and POC BU Marketing Communications responsible for leadership, oversight and success of marketing activities associated with the assigned Business Unit(s) to enhance overall awareness of the company and the company's position in the market(s); driving corporate marketing, creative, and web content management strategies as well as translating marketing objectives into creative strategies, designing and planning (encompassing but not limited to web, print, multimedia - online/social) across the global business.

This marketing leader is responsible for managing the direction, development and execution of the assigned BU(s) GTM execution campaigns and creative initiatives to achieve short- and long-term company goals and sales forecasts. This individual helps deploy a talented group of creative professionals and partners with the BU marketing team and regional marketing communications teams, playing a critical role in developing and implementing a core suite of corporate marketing initiatives leveraged across the company's global markets and works collaboratively (in a matrixed environment) with cross- functional teams to develop and implement integrated internal and external marketing communications.

This position is remote eligible and would require 25% travel to our facilities domestically and internationally.

The Responsibilities

  • A key member of the GB&M team, involved in managing the department's strategic development, management, execution and growth, as well as oversight of corporate and assigned business units initiatives.
  • Partners to establishes market programs that disrupt historic conventions or product/service perceptions, measuring and evaluating marketing results, impact on sales and ROI.
  • Contributes to web, online and social media strategies including long term vision and short term phase execution by collaborating with digital team, GIS and business associates to define requirements, site(s) redesigns, structure and page construction, features, keywords, sitemaps, inbound link generation, SEO ranking and referral reports, content delivery, etc.
  • Responsible for marketing operations, establishing, maintaining and evolving processes, practices and tools for project and workflow management, including the change management/communications needed to establish these practices; tracks workflow analytics to create best-in-class internal agency and evolves as needed for performance.
  • Works closely with global and regional product marketing to successfully identify business opportunities by specific geographic area and develop support tools and new programs in a timely and high-quality manner.
  • Cultivates strong integration with all organizations and maintain a critical linkage and partnership with all customer segment/business unit and commercial leaders, geographic and regional leaders, marketing teams and R&D, also works closely with legal, regulatory, finance, sales as well as customers, trade organizations and suppliers.
  • Adapt current initiatives to take advantage of market data and competitive intelligence. Review trends in concert with business unit and GB&MC to identify key customer segments needs.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in a marketing communications role.
  • Progressive experience in corporate marketing, product marketing, creative, content management positions.
  • Demonstrated record of successful campaigns.
  • Strong understand of market and customer insights .
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably in diagnostics, medical device/biomedical industry.
  • Substantial experience in translating strategies into campaign.
  • Travel 25% domestically and internationally.

Preferred:

  • Scientific Marketing experience.

The Key Working Relationships

Internal Partners:

  • Cultivates strong partnerships across the organization - especially within CMC, assigned BU, regional marketing teams. business areas and commercial leaders, geographic and regional leaders, marketing teams

External Partners:

  • Cultivates strong relationships with all agencies, third-party party organizations as well as with core sales teams to understand market trends and customer insights.

The Work Environment

No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Minimal travel required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $175,000 and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays.
