Job Summary

Director, Semiconductor Technology Development will lead a team of process and device development engineers to deliver best in class semiconductor technology to support pSemi and Murata product roadmaps.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

  • Lead delivery of competitive RF and mmWave process and device technologies that meet product performance and manufacturability requirements including establishing RF technology design rules, test structures and test methodologies
  • Drive continuous improvement of technology development flow and collaboration with broader team including KPI, OKR and tracking
  • Drive the development of differentiated process and devices architectures, characterization and qualification methodology, and test chip designs
  • Managing wafer fabrication foundries for technology development execution, qualification, and initial productions activities
  • Collaborate with broader team for yield enhancement efforts to production ramps and high volume maintenance when needed
  • Lead a team of device and process integration engineers and mentor engineering and technical staff to improve their processing, device knowledge and efficiency improvement

  • Collaborate to define RF process technology roadmap based on internal design team, market, customers' requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)

In order to perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in semiconductor industry, including at least 10 years of experience in technical and/or project management. Experience with RF SOI is highly desired
  • 7+ years of experience in managing individuals and teams
  • Strong knowledge of CMOS IC process, device and interaction between process and electrical behavior.
  • Solid technical background in RF Systems, Substrate technologies (Silicon, SOI, others), IPD and Packaging RF devices
  • Good data analysis, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Familiar with Cadence Layout tools
  • Familiar with DC/AC/RF device characterization equipment (HP4156 / B1500 parametric analyzer, LCR meter, oscilloscope, vector network analyzers) and probe-station
  • Experience in improving process stability (CP/CPK) and yield (DFM/DFY) of RF devices through fab

flow/processes

  • Proven record of effective leadership skills in the management of device engineering team and interaction with pSemi engineering teams and external foundries

Education Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field), PhD preferred

USD: 195,896.62 - 269,357.86 per year
