About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Product Manager specializing in Bill of Materials (BOM) management to join our team. As the Senior Product Manager for BOM, you will play a critical role in establishing, overseeing the end-to-end BOM process, ensuring accurate and efficient management of product structures, components, and associated data. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to drive product success through effective BOM management.

A Day in The Life of Our Senior Product Manager, BOM:

BOM Strategy and Governance:

  • * Define and execute the strategic vision for BOM management across the organization

  • * Establish and enforce BOM governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance

    BOM Creation and Maintenance:

    • * Collaborate with engineering and design teams to create and maintain accurate and complete BOMs for new and existing products

    • * Manage BOM lifecycle, including revisions, updates, and configurations, while ensuring version control and traceability

    • * Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • * Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather input and feedback on BOM requirements, changes, and improvements

  • * Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment on BOM accuracy and availability

    Supplier Collaboration:

  • * Partner with suppliers to streamline BOM data exchange, optimize component sourcing, and maintain up-to-date supplier information

  • * Collaborate with procurement to ensure accurate BOM cost calculations and efficient sourcing processes

    BOM Data Integrity:

  • * Implement processes to validate BOM accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems and platforms

  • * Identify and address data discrepancies or anomalies in collaboration with relevant teams

    Product Lifecycle Management:

  • * Contribute to product roadmap planning by providing insights on BOM-related enhancements and optimizations

  • * Assist in managing end-of-life components and transitioning products to new revisions

    Continuous Improvement:

  • * Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation in BOM management to increase efficiency and reduce errors

  • * Drive initiatives to improve BOM-related tools, systems, and workflows

    Who you are and what you'll need for this position:

  • * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • * Proven experience (5+ years) as a Product Manager, with a focus on Bill of Materials management in a electronics supply chain, SaaS technology environment

  • * Strong understanding of product development, supply chain, and manufacturing processes

  • * Experience with BOM management software and PLM systems; proficiency in ERP systems is a plus

  • * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

  • * Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with

    cross-functional teams and external partners

  • * Strategic thinking with a customer-centric mindset

  • * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • * Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence and drive consensus

  • * PCB Design, Electronic design automation software experience is a plus

The salary range for this role is $170,000.00 - $230,000.00. Actual compensation packages within this range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate and role requirements, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
