Permit Coordinators work with project teams to support the Power Delivery group. They develop a more nuanced understanding of project requirements as well as of the agencies with whom clients most frequently interact regarding permitting. This role performs assignments designed to process and submit permit packages to agencies.

Responsibilities
    Track permit requests for multiple projects across project lifespans
  • Helps with processing permit requests, including submittal of permit packages to agencies
  • Obtains updates on permits and traffic control plans and updates project team accordingly
  • Regularly disseminate information to team members on a timely basis
  • Track deliverables and advise appropriate team members of item status
  • Learn and apply new software tools or systems as needed
  • Download and upload documents and client deliverables
Qualifications

Education/Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years' experience in the utility, electrical, or civil industry
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret variety of gas and electric design plans
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of agency requirements
  • Positive attitude, able to collaboratively work with others
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other relevant software such as tracking software and database systems
  • Highly organized with good written and verbal communication skills

  • Evaluation is based, in part on the completion of timely, accurate work
  • Attends in-house seminars and educational opportunities outside of the offices

Physical Demands:

  • This position requires sitting for extensive periods of time
  • Must be able to visually interpret complex drawings

The pay range for this California position is $24.00- $30.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per California Senate Bill 1162. Base pay information is based on market location. Applicants should apply via the NV5 careers site.
