Sony Electronics is seeking a Manager, Logistics Planning & BU Support in San Diego, CA. This is an individual contributor role.

Responsibilities:

• Supports and interacts daily with SNA internal customers or Business Units (BU). Acts as the key logistics contact.

• Involved in all elements of supply chain services, including: shipment of products from place of origin to point of delivery, third-party warehousing, shipping/receiving activities, and outbound delivery to customer.

• Develop / evaluate / implement / manage / monitor BU logistics strategies and daily executions.

• Interacts with vendors and peers in Sales, Operations, Transportation and Product Development to optimize systems and procedures.

• Provide financial reporting and has a keen sense towards driving down costs, creating efficiencies and improving customer service levels.

• Analyzes multifaceted logistics data to identify trends / opportunities, develop strategic direction from the information, and create compelling presentations.

• Works on complex problems where analysis of situations and data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.

• Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.

• Holds a strong base knowledge of logistics and Sony Global Logistics practices and directions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4 year college degree in Business or related field along with 7 years of direct experience in overall logistics disciplines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of Sony BU, systems and processes a plus

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $84,014 to $112,017. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment,a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of employment.
