Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Director of Outreach, Recruitment, & Enrollment provides leadership, planning support, direction and implementation with respect to the College's student outreach, recruitment, and enrollment goals. As such, the Director will support and collaborate on the College's strategic enrollment management plan and related activities.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Student Recruitment & Outreach Management
  • Promotes enrollment growth through the development and implementation of innovative outreach and recruiting strategies to increase enrollments across all potential student populations.
  • Creates, implements, and organizes targeted program outreach and recruitment activities to diverse communities in the College's service area that are aligned to strategic enrollment goals.
  • Leads a team that recruits and assists students with the admission and enrollment processes including application to EvCC, navigation and completion of required admissions and enrollment related forms, and assists with advising and registration efforts.
  • Leads and assists the department with planning and organizing recruitment and outreach events on and off campus.
  • Consults with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive integrated communication campaigns to recruit and retain prospective, and currently enrolled, students.

New Student Enrollment Management
  • Ensures efficient and effective transitions for new and returning students from the outreach and recruiting team to other College teams (e.g. workforce funding, financial aid, entry advisors, enrollment services customer service team, etc.)
  • Supports EvCC's guided pathways with respect to onboarding student enrollment; develops and implements outreach and recruiting strategies to promote pathways placement at the time of initial enrollment.
  • Collaborates with other College stakeholders in the development of student communications plans for varying student populations.

Relationship Management
  • Develops and maintains relationships with local schools, businesses and community organizations to promote the benefits, educational opportunities, campus resources and events, and scholarship opportunities at EvCC.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with external and internal stakeholders to cultivate and enrich admissions, recruitment, outreach, onboarding and enrollment efforts and outcomes.
  • Collaborates with dual credit, Running Start, college in the high school and other high school partnerships to increase high school concurrent enrollment and matriculating concurrent enrollment students to EvCC.

Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Compiles, analyzes, evaluates, and makes data-driven recommendations to the Vice President regarding student applications, enrollment conversions, and trends on a frequent basis.
  • Prepares and submits reports to document departmental efforts towards goals, documented activities and other information as requested.
  • Ensures accuracy, timely collection of data, data entry and evaluation in relation to admissions, recruitment and outreach documentation, such as events, inquiries and enrollment funnel activities.
  • Regularly communicates data to internal stakeholders regarding outreach, recruitment, enrollment, and re-enrollment related initiatives and activities.

Personnel Management
  • Supervises assigned personnel.
  • Makes recommendations concerning hires or terminations, as necessary.
  • Evaluates assigned staff, including discipline and annual review processes for administrative, professional and support staff assigned to areas of responsibility.
  • Recommend and approve staff development for professional and support staff.

General Duties
  • Manages assigned budgets in compliance with EvCC and State purchasing ethics and regulations.
  • Directs multiple competing priorities and projects with geographically distributed stakeholders.
  • Represents EvCC at assigned industry, community, and College events.
  • Serves as the College's liaison to external agencies and organizations regarding outreach, recruitment, and enrollment (i.e. State Board for Community and Technical Colleges).
  • Leads, participates in, or coordinates projects, committees or task forces as assigned by the Dean or Vice President.
  • Discharges other administrative assignments, as directed by the Dean or Vice President.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years progressively responsible administrative experience in an educational environment related to admissions, recruitment, or related higher education experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence, professionalism, integrity, and customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated successful experience working with diverse populations
  • Demonstrated successful experience in achieving results
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated successful experience supervising and leading others
  • Demonstrated strong customer focus and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders

Work Hours: Typical work hours are 8 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday with occasional night and weekend hours. Summer schedule is condensed to 4 10s, typically with Fridays off.

Benefits This position is eligible for State of Washington Public Employee Benefits, such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Long Term Disability Insurance, Retirement plans, and more. Additionally, Everett Community College Administrative/Exempt employees accrue 16 hours of vacation for every month of service, during which the employee is in pay status for 10 or more days; 8 hours of sick leave for every month of service, during which the employee is in pay status for 10 or more days; 11 paid holidays throughout the year, plus 3 paid personal holidays.
