This position will be located at the Floyd Campus.

Job Summary


 

This position is responsible for the oversight and coordination of all phases of dual enrollment and early admission process; and, is responsible for auditing admission and registration process, maintaining information session consistency, coordinating dual high school rosters and grade submissions.

Responsibilities

 
  • Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college¿s mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies.
  • Supports the GHC strategic priorities: Access & Opportunity, Inclusivity & Engagement, Student Success, and Efficiency & Effectiveness
  • Aligns Dual Enrollment Program processes, procedures, business practices and institutional policy with the overall strategic plan of the College
  • Communicates with internal and external stakeholders in regard to significant program changes that impacts the College
  • Develops and maintains positive relations with secondary school administrators to promote College partnerships and collaboration. Acts as a College liaison for programs and services with outside agencies or community leaders.
  • Coordinates and conducts student admissions, registration, and pre-registration. Processes corresponding registration materials. Enters new students into the appropriate admissions and enrollment records.
  • Advises students as to course of study, particular course offerings, necessary testing, and pre-requisites. Assists students in understanding educational, personal, and occupational strengths and limitations.
  • Serves as the designated administrative school administrator for dual enrollment with Georgia Student Finance (GaFutures)
  • Completes the GSFC dual enrollment funding application process by assuring the courses approved by high school counselor is equivalent to eligible GHC course
  • Confirms eligibility of dual enrollment funding for GHC Financial Aid Office, confirms self-pay students with GHC Business Office, and coordinates course material distribution with GHC Bookstore
  • Acts as a liaison to internal and external entities regarding college policies and procedures as they pertain to the college-wide dual enrollment and early admission program.
  • Analyzes standardized test results and assist faculty, staff and public in understanding purposes and results.
  • Maintains current knowledge of field or profession. Travels to training workshops, conferences, meetings and professional events outside of college locations, as needed.
  • Trains users in the operation of a new or modified systems and programs. Plans, schedules and prepares user training, including the development of training guides, and documentation.
  • Develops and improves mechanisms for tracking and reporting data statistics, and provides comprehensive and interpretive reports to distribute findings and analysis.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two (2) years of related work experience or equivalent combination of experience and/or education

Proposed Salary


 

$48,620.00 annually
