CCBC anticipates the need for an individual prepared to teach various courses in Economics. Fifteen credit hours of instruction per semester, office hours, college and community service, and ongoing professional development are required. The position is located on the Catonsville Campus but may require teaching classes at other locations scheduled during days, evenings or weekends. 

Preferred candidates are enthusiastic about content and pedagogy, use best teaching practices, and are committed to student learning. Preference will be given to applicants who present evidence of excellence in teaching, experience at the community college level, and those who, through education and experience, demonstrate ability to teach Personal Finance, Introduction to Macroeconomics, Introduction to Microeconomics and other courses relevant to the applicant’s area of expertise.  Three letters of recommendation will be requested from candidates selected to be interviewed.

Master’s degree in Economics or Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting or finance required. Must have two years experience teaching economics at the post-secondary level or two years related industry experience. Online teaching experience is preferred. 

 Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students, experience working with diverse populations in a learning environment, and experience with the use of technology in teaching economics.
