CCBC anticipates the need for an individual prepared to teach various biology courses with a focus on Microbiology lecture and lab.  Candidates with a breadth of knowledge and able to teach other general biology courses are preferred.  Fifteen credit hours of instruction per semester, office hours, college and community service, and ongoing professional development are required. The position is located on one of our campuses but may require teaching classes at other locations scheduled during days, evenings, or weekends.
 
 Preferred candidates are enthusiastic about content and pedagogy, use best teaching practices, and are committed to student learning.  - Three letters of recommendation will be requested from candidates selected to be interviewed.

Master's degree in Biology or a related field with significant relevant coursework required.  Must have two (2) years of experience teaching Biology at the high school level or above. 
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students. Experience working with diverse populations in a learning environment and experience with the use of technology in teaching science.  
Must be able to operate Biology laboratory equipment.
Must be prepared to teach General Biology.
