Position Overview: Passaic County Community College (PCCC) is seeking a qualified and passionate individual to join our faculty as an Adjunct Instructor for Anatomy & Physiology. This position involves teaching courses during the day to undergraduate students. The successful candidate will contribute to the academic success of our students by delivering engaging lectures, facilitating laboratory sessions, and fostering a positive learning environment.

 

Responsibilities:

• Course Instruction: Deliver effective and dynamic lectures on Anatomy & Physiology topics in accordance with the College’s academic calendar and approved syllabi.
• Laboratory Facilitation: Conduct hands-on laboratory sessions to enhance students' understanding of anatomical and physiological concepts.
• Student Engagement: Foster an inclusive and interactive learning environment that promotes student engagement, critical thinking, and academic success.
• Assessment and Grading: Evaluate student performance through timely grading of assignments, exams, and other assessments, providing constructive feedback. Maintain and report accurate student grades and attendance records using approved procedures and systems.
• Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in Anatomy & Physiology education and integrate relevant updates into the curriculum.

 

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: A Master’s or higher degree in Biology, or a related field is required.
• Teaching Experience: Prior experience teaching Anatomy & Physiology courses at the college level is preferred.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner.
• Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively with colleagues, contribute to a positive departmental culture, and engage in collaborative curriculum development.
• Commitment to Diversity: Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that respects and values diversity among students and colleagues.
