Payrate:

Case Manager - $49,750

Sr. Case Manager - $55,120

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is currently seeking a Bilingual Case Manager (English or Spanish) at Esperanza Center. This position is part of an initiative of the Baltimore City Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs called The Baltimore New American Access Coalition: Improving Access to Immigrant and Refugee Families to Health and Human Services. The position reports to the Supervising Case Manager within the Social Services unit at Esperanza Center. This position will be co-located at the Immigration Outreach Service Center (IOSC) at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Northeast Baltimore City.

The Esperanza Center is a comprehensive resource center whose mission is to welcome immigrants by offering hope, compassionate services, and the power to improve their lives. Since 1963, immigrants from all over the world have trusted the Esperanza Center to help them navigate life in a new country. Our dedicated staff and volunteers provide services related to education, healthcare, immigration legal matters, family reunification for unaccompanied immigrant children, and general community support to thousands of immigrants each year.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, Weekends as needed

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist eligible Baltimore City households with applications related to SNAP, WIC, Energy Assistance, and other needs (public and private) related to their well-being
  • Provide regular follow-up support to program beneficiaries for up to 6-months as public benefit applications progress
  • Assist eligible Baltimore City households with applications for a one-time financial assistance program to assist with immediate needs related to food, utilities, or other basic needs.
  • Support program beneficiaries with accessing additional Esperanza, IOSC, or community-based services as needed and applicable, including immigration legal services, medical care, or other services.
  • Collaborate to plan and conduct community outreach with CBO stakeholders.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Case Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, or related field.
  • Two years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Senior Case Manager

  • Master’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, or related field.
  • Five years of related experience.

Both levels require:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Requires the ability to utilize computer systems and software necessary to perform position functions. Basic Windows PC, web browsing (i.e. Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.), and Microsoft Outlook skills required. Other Microsoft Office application knowledge, such as Word, Excel PowerPoint, Skype, and OneDrive, as well as knowledge of case management software, desired.
  • Driving (Agency and/or personal vehicle) is required for this position. Driver must be at least 21 years of age, with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience, and a valid driver’s license issued by the state of residence. There can be no state issued restrictions on the licenses that would impede driver’s ability to operate the vehicle as required by the Agency, and there must not be more than three (3) points on their driving record.
