Job Description:

The Division of STEM and Business invites applications for adjunct faculty vacancies for the Fall 2024 teaching in-person Early College (EC) business courses with partnering school districts. Courses begin in January 2024.

The current openings are for:

  • ENT100 Introduction to Entrepreneurship
  • MKT101 Principles of Marketing

Campus Location: Early College High Schools / Lynn / Danvers

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-4 (varies by course section - see below)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach one or more sections as assigned by the Division Dean.
  • Prepare course syllabi that meet all contractual requirements.
  • Schedule classes to meet for the allotted time on every scheduled meeting day during the semester.
  • Address all department course outcomes
  • Employ effective instructional strategies that promotes student learning.
  • Use appropriate assessment tools to accurately measure student learning
  • Monitor email communications from students and the college, and respond in a timely manner.
  • Contact dean or advising staff as necessary regarding student issues.
  • Meet all deadlines for submission of grades, student participation reports, student grievance responses and other administrative documentation.
  • Engage in a high-level of collaboration/communication with the respective high school teacher liaisons.


Requirements:

  • Master of Business Administration or a closely related degree field. A Bachelor's Degree may be considered with evidence of graduate study in Business.
  • A commitment to and experience working with a diverse student body.
  • Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment

PREFERENCES

  • Evidence of successful prior teaching in higher education or high school. Community College teaching experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience teaching online/hybrid and/or embedding the use of technology into the curriculum preferred
  • Experience with Blackboard or similar Learning Management System
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

 


Additional Information:

Salary: Adjunct salaries are dependent upon the number of credit hours. This is a non-benefited, MCCC position.

Starting Date: January 2024
