THE ROLE

We are seeking an OSHC Assistant Service Director to join us at the McDonald Park OSHC. This is a part-time opportunity offering 25 hours per week and will be reporting to the OSHC Service Director.

As the Assistant Director, you will be pivotal in providing leadership to ensure that our care, recreation and leisure programs for children are of the highest quality, while also being a role model for Educators, and supporting continuous learning and positive work culture.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Create a service of integrity and security for all children, families and employees involved.
  • Provide and support the delivery of a balanced program to include flexibility, variety, fun, safety, choice and support for the physical, social and emotional well-being of children.
  • Support learning outcomes under the EYLF and NQS.
  • Plan for and facilitate the inclusion of children with additional needs, including children with disabilities, children with complex health support needs, Aboriginal children and children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. This may include the management of inclusive support services funding.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Children's Services
  • Certificate of completion for “Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care” Training
  • HLTAID012 Provide Emergency First Aid in an Education & Care Setting
  • HLTAID009 Provide CPR
  • Strong leadership experience with staff, including training, quality improvement, support, and maintaining the standards of service
