Job Description


Are you a detail-oriented administrative professional with a knack for planning and organizing? Join the IU Foundation as a part-time HR Assistant and become a vital contributor to the Human Resources & Culture team's success.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Culture, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of tasks that support the full Human Resources team. Some examples include assisting with meeting management, calendars, ordering supplies, putting together course materials for training events, compiling course attendance data, and providing a welcoming environment for all employees who reach out to the HR team with questions.

In addition, you’ll be responsible for processing expense reports and invoices for the department. You'll be the go-to person for managing mail, and helping to organize files, documents, or other records with precision. Other duties may include things like planning and ordering food for group events, ordering new employee welcome gifts, and more!

Qualifications


Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience working with HR data is a plus.

We anticipate that this position will require approximately 20 hours per week on average with a competitive hourly wage between $16 and $18/hr commensurate with experience. This position will be on-site in our Bloomington, IN location and the anticipated start date for this role is January 2024.
