Summary
The Department of Economics and Finance in the Boler College of Business invites applications for part-time faculty positions for teaching in the areas of economics, finance, and financial planning for beginning in Fall 2023. Part-time faculty generally teach 1 to 2 courses per semester.

Bloomberg ranked The Boler College number 1 in preparing students for the workplace. The Department of Economics and Finance includes 10 full-time tenure-track faculty. The economics group currently includes four full-time, tenure-track faculty in addition to several lecturers. The Boler College subscribes to CRSP and Capital IQ, has an active research seminar series, and easy access to a variety of research seminars at nearby institutions.

Required Qualifications
A graduate degree in business (MBA), economics, finance, financial planning/wealth management, or a closely related field, from an accredited university is preferred. An undergraduate degree with a nationally recognized certification such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP),j or Certified Business Economist (CBE), as appropriate to teaching responsibilities. A commitment to outstanding teaching and delivering an excellent student experience is required. Candidates should possess a strong record of professional service and be willing to engage in departmental and university service appropriate to their rank.

Preferred Qualifications

 
Normal Work Location, Hours and Conditions
During the academic year, courses generally taught on-campus and face-to-face. Class times vary and instructors are expected to post available time for student questions outside of regular class hours. Student conferences may be conducted by Zoom or telephone as necessary.
