The University of Southern California (USC) Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Department of Pharmacology & Pharmaceutical Sciences (www.usc.edu/schools/pharmacy/departments ) invites applications for a fixed-term Senior Research Associate position, ( End Date: May 31, 2024) with research interests in pharmacology and drug development .
Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree and postdoctoral experience in pharmacology, toxicology, molecular biology, or a related discipline. The project will be to conduct IND-enabling Studies to Develop Small Molecule Theranostic for Brain Cancer Imaging and Treatment.  Design and implement translational studies for patented molecule, NMI (near-infrared monoamine oxidase inhibitor), determine NMI interacting protein, estimate safety, route, formulation, pharmacokinetics and efficacy for glioma treatment. Prepare data for pre-IND briefing packet to FDA and maintain orphan drug annual report.

Minimum Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate
Minimum Experience: 4-8 years after Ph.D.

The annual base salary range for this position is $72,738 - $75,000. Minimum Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate Minimum Experience: 3 years Minimum Field of Expertise: Directly related education and experience in research specialization with advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures, analysis methods, principles, theories and concepts.
