Rutgers School of Nursing–Camden is an important leader in nursing education, research, and engaged civic learning in community service within southern New Jersey, the Delaware Valley, and beyond. We became the fourth designated school at Rutgers University–Camden in 2011, but our tradition of excellence in nursing education extends to 1972 when the Rutgers University–Camden Department of Nursing was first established. The Rutgers School of Nursing-Camden Center for Excellence in Inter-professional Practice, Education, and Innovation (CEIPEI) provides opportunities for active learning, promotes interprofessional collaboration, and stimulates innovation in nursing education and practice. The CEIPEI is accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) . The Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Education Program (WOCNEP), a certificate within the School of Nursing’s graduate program, is currently the only accredited graduate level WOC program in the United States. Offered in both online and on-campus formats, the WOCNEP recruits students from across the nation. Our MSN in School Health is the first School Nurse Certificate Program based upon the National Association of School Nurses’ (NASN) Framework for the 21st Century School Nursing Practice™.    
Posting Summary
The Business Manager III Spvr reports to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration at Rutgers University–Camden (RU-C) with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Dean of the School of Nursing at Rutgers University–Camden (SNC). This position is responsible for the overall effective operations of the business functions of the school and works closely with the Dean, academic administration, and school faculty and staff to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of general business processes related to accounting, budgeting, expense management, procurement, as well as human resource management and payroll. In addition, the Business Manager III, works in cooperation with the Senior Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration and the Dean of the SNC to forecast, develop and manage the school’s operating budget, develop, and manage routine reports related to the budget and financial and business resources (may be monthly, quarterly or annually), and will assume responsibility for safeguarding SNC and university assets and communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders regarding the SNC, both internally and externally.
The Business Manager III Spvr will be responsible to maintain an understanding of all University policies and procedures related to finance, human resource and operations management and will work closely with many campus partners to provide leadership within the SNC. Typically, the incumbent will work closely and grow relationships with the RU-C Budget & Finance Office, including Grants and Student Accounting, Financial Aid, and Human Resources. In addition, the Business Manager III will work closely with university partners in various finance, human resource, and operations management departments at the central level of the university, including but not limited to the University Controller, Internal Audit, Procurement, Payroll, Institutional Planning and Operations, and other related teams. In addition, the Business Manager III requires an ability to interpret and educate colleagues within the SNC on the policies and procedures as noted and has a responsibility to ensure that the faculty and staff in the school are knowledgeable and compliant as appropriate.
The Business Manager III Spvr will work with minimal supervision and call upon resources as needed to produce professional work, including reports and presentations, that will require specialized knowledge in finance/accounting; he/she will need to demonstrate a specialized knowledge of the mission and goals, strategies, and organizational structure of the SNC and Rutgers University–Camden. The Business Manager III Spvr will also contribute significantly to data management and reporting that supports the accreditation process of the SNC. The Business Manager III Spvr will have two direct reports that he/she is responsible to train and develop, and routinely delegate work, and will be responsible to manage staff performance effectively.

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System. Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business management, or related field and a minimum of five years of directly relevant work experience in a finance or accounting function and demonstrates progressively higher levels of leadership and management skills. 
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The incumbent must demonstrate excellent communication and collaborative skills, and must have strong computer literacy skills. Knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications for consideration include an advanced degree in business, a CPA license, previous experience in higher education, or direct work with the Rutgers University financial systems.
Equipment Utilized
This position requires excellent computer skills including, but not limited to the use of the Microsoft suite of products, and will require mastery of a number of university systems including HCM/Peoplesoft, Oracle Cornerstone (FMS/SciQuest), Discoverer, Tableau, RAPSS, among others.
