Job Summary:
The Title III Project Director will have responsibility of implementing all the components of the Title III project. The Director will provide leadership and direct staff associated with the project and complete all reporting required by the Department of Education.
Supervisorial Responsibilities:
Supervisory responsibilities include the Guided Pathways Specialist.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to community college education and willingness to promote student and faculty success. Candidate must have demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems; identify opportunities to improve programs; evaluate programs and strategies; analyze and apply laws, rules, and regulations involving programs, staff, and students; and represent the College at community, state, and national levels as requested. This position requires successful experience meeting deadlines, as well as establishing structures, systems and processes to reach goals and objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, education, human services, or related area
- Two years of related work experience
- Experience managing federal grants
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, assessment skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Knowledge of higher education
Physical Demands
- Work is normally performed in a general office environment.
- Work performed requires sensitivity and responsiveness to changing goals, priorities and needs.
- This position requires light physical activity and movement; employee must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone or during virtual meetings.
- Must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 25 pounds with the use of proper equipment. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals on a case-by-case basis.
