Job Summary 

Full-time position immediately available for a postdoctoral fellow to investigate pre-clinical mechanisms underlying plasticity after spinal cord injury. The fellow will be involved with spinal cord stimulation of the spinal cord as a treatment to improve spasticity and motor recovery after SCI.

Essential Functions 

  • Perform survival surgeries.
  • Perform electrophysiological experiment.
  • Manuscript preparation.
  • Perform animal care and handling duties.
  • Perform molecular analyses.
  • Perform data analysis.

Required Qualifications 

  • Minimum of a PhD or Doctorate in Neuroscience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience.
  • Other requirements 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Applicant should be highly motivated with a strong academic and publishing record and be able to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Writing skills will be scrutinized.

Physical Demands 

  • Typically sitting at a desk/table.
  • Typically standing, walking

Additional Information 

This position is classified as Exempt with a grade of I, [$ 41,120.00 - $ 61,680.00]. The offered salary is dependent upon internal equity and the successful candidate’s competencies, education, and experience.
