Adjunct Lecturer - Accounting
Job Description
This a part-time teaching position which is appointed on a per semester basis. There is an opportunity for renewal each semester and year.
Essential Functions:
- Teach up to six credits per semester of undergraduate and graduate accounting classes in the following subject areas: managerial accounting (UG and GR), cost accounting and advanced accounting.
- Applicants should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of accounting and prior teaching experience, including the use of technology in the workplace
- Manage online grading system and submit grades in a timely fashion.
- Abide by all relevant university and/or department procedures and policies.
- Integrate the core values of respect, integrity, justice, compassion, and service in all aspects of interaction.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Seven plus years of work experience as an accountant.
- Active CPA license
- Demonstrated successful teaching experience at the college/university level is preferred
- Ability to teach in lecture, hybrid, and online formats.
- Experience using learning management systems, such as Blackboard.
- Must be available to teach during the day, evening and on-line.
