Advertised Job Summary:


Grant-funded position that will direct and conduct research on energy vulnerability and energy transitions in South Carolina and Tennessee. The interdisciplinary project aims to understand what a 'just transition' means for local communities, labor movements, and energy vulnerable populations. The research will include focus groups and interviews with energy vulnerable communities as well as landscape reviews of existing conditions in the two states.
Primary duties will include conducting landscape reviews on energy vulnerability and energy labor conditions in SC and TN; establishing and maintaining relationships with community partners; coordinating with research assistants; conducting coding and analyzing focus groups and in-depth interviews; and leading and contributing to peer-reviewed papers.

Advertised Minimum Qualifications :


Doctoral degree from accredited college or university in Geography, Sociology, Anthropology, Environmental Policy, or related field by start date of employment.
