Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Edit/Media Specialist I for the Division of Continuing Studies. This position reports to the Assistant Director for Digital Marketing in the Department of Communication and Marketing (DCM) and to the Director of Communications, Marketing and Television at the Division of Continuing Studies (DoCS). The Division of Continuing Studies (DoCS) is seeking a proactive digital marketer and communicator to play a pivotal role in its central marketing team. 
 
This position plays a key role on a fast-moving digital marketing team that helps widen access to learners at all stages of their lives and careers.  You will plan, execute, and analyze marketing campaigns driven by results-driven decision making in social media, content marketing, and multimedia content creation and distribution.  You’ll develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns to advance the inspirational mission of promoting lifelong learning at Rutgers University.  
Among the keys duties of this position are the following:
  • Helps enrich lives by connecting learners to a wide range of professional, continuing, and online education opportunities.
  • Develops, maintains, and executes integrated marketing and communication strategies that cost-effectively advance the mission of DoCS, Rutgers University, and the audiences served by the division’s programs, services, and staff.
  • Serves a primary role in social media, content marketing, and multimedia content planning and execution across the division.

Work Arrangement
Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System. Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communication, marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge, skill, and understanding of writing, formatting, editing, proofreading, publishing, promotional advertising, organization, coordination, and/or facilitation.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proven experience using current digital marketing tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Pardot, email marketing, Drupal, WordPress, Form Assembly, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, HTML and digital editing books are preferred.

Immunization Requirements


Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
